Hi, I’m Sahar. I’m currently looking for my next job.
In the past, I’ve worked at Meta, Wikipedia, Blue Rose, and started a think tank to improve social media.
My biggest technical experience is data and software engineering, but I bring an entrepreneurial spirit to everything I do. In the past, I’ve dabbled as a public intellectual, and I believe in the virtuous interplay of writing, thinking, and building.
These days, I’m deep into AI, especially wrangling agents. I use Claude Code all day for personal projects, and even as a sort of home office. (Is”AI as worker” the most productive framework? I’m not sure!)
My dream job is getting to work at a frontier AI lab as a technical ex-founder. A dream project would be setting up a skunkworks team inside a larger firm. The kind of work where you understand the problem, talk to users and coworkers, prototype a solution, and iterate together until we’ve hit gold. It’s more about impact and autonomy than strict lines of job description.
That said, people and culture — while hard to filter for — matter just as much as title or firm to me.
I live in New York, and love working in person. Ideally I’d be in the office 3-4 days a week. (Flexibly)
