National Day of Civic Hacking at RIT was well worth going to

This weekend I went to a hackathon at RIT. It was awesome.

RIT seems to have a new and thriving Free / Open Source Software movement. 

I met the men (and they do seem to be mostly men there. But it is RIT) who seem to be guiding it the most. They’re generous, interesting people.This weekend I went to a hackathon at RIT. It was awesome.

I met the men (and they do seem to be mostly men there. But it is RIT) who seem to be guiding it the most. They’re generous, interesting people.

As for the actual event – spent a lot of time falling asleep. Met some interesting people. Pair-programmed. But the point was to make friends, and I think I did that.
